The business is owned by Mark Banham who started growing trees on his croft near Dornoch in a small way in 1995. A forestry graduate, Mark was sent to
Dornoch by the Forestry Commission in 1984 and he has been involved in forestry in Northern Scotland ever since. He joined a private forestry company in
1991 and became self employed in 2001.

In 2001 Magnus Mackay joined the business initially on a part time basis while he
was attaining his National Certificate in Forestry and full time since 2002.

They are helped on the nursery by Lorna and Claire the Saturday girls shown here in one
of the Aspen propogation polytunnels.
